The Manufactured Products Organisation engaged Co-Lab on two work packages: the first, to support us standardise our portfolio of manufactured products across the Nuclear Decommissioning estate; the second, to support us with benefit quantification of our strategic themes in our organisation.
Co-Lab worked with us as an extension of our team, developing outputs that will help us drive value in our operations for the long term. It has been enjoyable to collaborate with Clyne and his team, they bring a high level of experience and innovation and the team have gone above and beyond to ensure successful delivery.

Challenge
Outdated Product Catalogues Limiting Operational Efficiency and Engagement
The Manufactured Products Organisation was working with static product catalogues that did not fully meet the needs of a modern, fast-moving operational environment. While these catalogues provided essential information, they lacked the ability to deliver real-time updates, interactive features, and engaging content. This created challenges in ensuring that internal teams, procurement functions, and customers had easy, up-to-date access to critical product data. As a result, opportunities to streamline processes and speed up decision-making were limited, and the organisation saw the potential to improve accessibility, consistency, and user experience across its product portfolio.
Solution
Developing a Real-Time, Interactive Digital Product Catalogue
Co-Lab developed an interactive, real-time digital catalogue designed specifically for the organisation’s diverse and technically complex product range. The platform combined 3D visualisation, dynamic content, and seamless integration with the organisation’s document management system to ensure accuracy and ease of use. Users could instantly access live product specifications, check availability, and navigate the range through intuitive search and filtering tools. This created a single, accessible source of truth for product information, improving efficiency for internal teams, supporting procurement processes, and enhancing engagement with customers and stakeholders.

Process
Project Development Workflow
The project development process begins with Discovery & Analysis, where initial research and data collection set the foundation. This is followed by Strategy & Planning, which involves defining goals and outlining the approach. Next, Design & Prototyping focuses on creating and testing initial models.
Development & Customisation then refines the product to meet specific needs. Integration & Testing ensures all components work together seamlessly, while Deployment & Optimisation finalizes the launch and continuous improvement of the project.

Benefits
Boosted Customer Engagement and Faster Sales Decisions
Higher Engagement – Customers interact longer with the digital catalogue compared to traditional formats.
Accelerated Decision-Making – Reduced product selection time and increased conversion rates.
Future-Ready Solution – Positioned businesses for ongoing digital transformation and innovation.
